I really hate standard snap-swivels. Especially for ultralight trout gear. So i made my own with a fly clip and a #14 barrel swivel. I ended up making about 50 of them and I absolutely love them. It makes swapping between small lures quickly very easy. And so far I've never had a fish bend the clip open enough to get free.

omg these are so cute and practical! i always struggle with those bulky swivels when i’m trying to fish small streams, might have to try making some of these myself.
Hell yeah. Quick snaps are great when you’re trying to figure out what to throw out there. Came in clutch yesterday.
I think the swivel is a good idea and could come in handy with certain lures. Too heavy for to help me in my case though, unfortunately.
If you don’t anticipate needing the swivel action, do you go line straight to the clip, or do you use the swivel by default?
