Both heel clips broke after less than one season…. Does this happen to others? I love the idea and the boots have been great until this. I’ll probably buy another pair, but this makes me wary to buy their more expensive models.

How long have you had them? I believe they carry some type of warranty. Check out the Korkers site as they used to have a warranty section. Great boots otherwise.

Haven’t had this happen and going on season 2 with mine. Also have two buddy’s with the same boots going on a season or two now with no issue either. Might just be a lemon pair.

Year 4 on my pair, have put them through the ringer. Never had any issues.

Highly recommend asking for a replacement. I did it one time on my old boots cause the plastic clip broke and they replaced them for free cause it should never happen

Bought mine in 2019. They are beat to shit. Never experienced this or ANY issues with the removable bottoms

I frequently find korkers soles floating down the river/on the bank so I would say yeah probably haha

As a shop guy, yes this is somewhat common and why we don’t carry korkers boots anymore. Their warranty is usually pretty good about covering it

Happened to me after 7 seasons and probably 50 uses. I was pissed and went Patagonia like I always do when a piece of gear fails. No regrets yet.

I had that happen to me with a different model of Korkers during a remote fishing trip in Idaho. I found a zip tie in the dirt to fix one and paracord to fix the other. I threw them out after that trip.

I always foresaw this happening to them when they introduced this “interchangeable” design years ago. Glad I wasn’t wrong.
Maybe talk to them regarding warranty? The cool thing back in the day with companies like this is if you had a good story to go along with it and the right person on the other line they’d help you out.
Not so much anymore.

I have a pair of Dark Horse Boas and a pair of Greenback lace ups because I don’t trust the Boas on sand beaches. I’ve never had a problem after several seasons.

Korkers suck.
Spend more and just get Patagonia tractors.

Never had that issue in a decade plus of wearing korkers but their customer service is excellent. Reach out and they will send you a replacement.

Worst boots I’ve ever had

I bought some used, and this happened after I used them a few times. I called Korker, but they don’t sell the replacement piece. Because the area above is hard plastic, I just drilled a hole and used zip ties to secure the sole on the heel.
