Thoughts on early spring spining fishing? Any advise?
Any thoughts what lures should I use early spring? Is it even worth it?

If you float a worm down that you’ll catch something, if they’re in there.

i dont know, maybe a worm and bobber, but these fish are still sluggish and not hungry. even if youre warm, the water aint there yet

I’ve had luck with Ned rigs in cold water, but you basically have to slowly drag it on bottom and hope you drag it right in front of a fish because they’re not looking to expand any effort on feeding right now.

An inline spinner is a great search bait for waters like that, as everything from panfish to trout and even catfish will strike them. I’m partial to a size 4 or 6 Panther Martin Deluxe Dressed fly spinner with a gold blade and orange body. (It’s my secret magic lure, so don’t tell anymore 🤫😂)
