Apologies, I didn’t realise this had posted without text!
I bought Crucnhwrap about a month ago (14th Feb). He is such a beautiful boy, was trained super quickly, always happy to see me and put on a show for others. I was super excited when I noticed some new fin growth as well after two weeks! I felt like a good fish mum.
However, maybe about 5 days ago, he started hiding in his cave, only coming up to eat, and now instead of following my finger and playing, he is very skittish, zooms around and goes back to hiding.
Iāve noticed his fins have made a major turn and look like they have fin rot? His face also has some whiteish/greyness to it.
All the water parameters have been fine (Using strips while I wait for API tester it’s out of stock everywhere near me, and should finally arrive next week. I started doing daily checks when his behaviour changed)ā¦ Iāve added Bettafix for the last 3 days, and also Indian Almond leaves, and doing daily water changes of about 20-30%. Temperature always sits 27-28 degrees.
Photos are from store up until now (last two are from this evening). What could be wrong?
I had a betta for about 7 years in a very basic tank with tank mates, but Crunchie seems a bit harder to take care of… What could potentially be the issue?

I could be wrong but is there white stringy poop coming from him? I thought I saw that in a few pictures. I had a recently purchased fish act fine and then suddenly hide and fin clamp and from a little research I think she has worms š so I bought a treatment online and going to start it as soon as it comes to hopefully turn her around!

Hi OP, can you share the exact water parameters for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH? Additionally, the tank details please. Thanks
