Getting a rod for it this weekend, was considering a St. Croix since that's what I have for my spinning set up & it's been good. Have been reading some negative reviews lately though..
What else should I consider?
Budget of 150-200. Looking for a MH/F.

I love my st croix rods, got 14 of em. Can understand why folks would go a different direction though. Personally think it would look great on a victory series but that’s top of your budget. Otherwise you cant go wrong with a tatula

2025 Tatula with the cork handle would look sweet. Or throw it on something temporary until Megabass drops the new Levante line.
I have 9 St Croix rods. Love them all but they’re Avid series and above. Negative reviews usually center around their entry level rods. If you’re not at $250 and above, you can probably do better with another brand. For instance the Megabass Levante line is awesome for $200. and it’s going to get you more rod for that price range. I have one spinning and one casting and love them
