I was just admiring a recent catch a made and got curious about the particular coloration it had.
A quick google search and I stumbled upon a condition that happens with fish called “Black Spot Disease.” Should I be concerned and inform my local wildlife and game commission? I caught couple like this out of this tailwater when I went.

Am I totally colorblind? I don’t see anything out of the ordinary besides maybe the net shadow
That just looks like normal variation to me. Both rainbows and browns have an incredible amount of pattern variety even in the same river.
This is just a regular rainbow, many can look like this. See: https://www.huntingpa.com/threads/hybrid-rainbow.188210/
Black spot disease would not have a “halo” or color change like the regular spots you see here and would be overlaid randomly across the trouts skin.
One rainbow trout can look vastly different than another. It just is what it is
