My new boy! He was purchased from my LFS in a 1gal (?), heated, filtered and planted tank by himself. He was the most active and engaged when I was wandering between tanks. He seems healthy overall? I know a lot of white bettas change colors and he seems to have the marbling gene? What color have you seen your bettas change when starting like this? He didn’t seem overly stressed when I got him a few hours ago.
Tank is 5gal (he may upgrade to my 20 community but we shall see). Temp 78-79, currently an air stone with a piece of sponge from main tank (sponge filter piece is tucked into my main HOB for a couple weeks to seed- I will do frequent water changes and daily monitoring on him in the mean time, using prime and liquid API kit), hammock, silk leaf rest. Hoping to sand down edges on a piece of mopani I have. Boiled almond leaf and live plants (root tabs and will add liquid ferts).
