I got my Betta today, I set up the tank around 3 days ago, added some substrate from another tank and so on, it's a 5 gallon tank, with only live plant, and a piece of driftwood as the center piece, my Betta has some scales missing near his head, possible cause he was in like a community tank in the fish shop, I acclimated the fish 30 min before adding it in, and my filters water current isn't strong at all, because Ik their not great swimmers, im kind of worried why it's hiding, any one can tell me if I should be alarmed? (Excuse the poor camera quality)

It’s normal and natural for him to hide in a brand new environment until he knows it’s safe
In the future I think you should let the tank cycle considerably longer in order to lesson stress on the fish
Do you have a heater? It’s normal for them to hide until they feel safe and secure. Turn off the lights for a day or two so he can feel less exposed.
It takes them a while to adjust. Remember, they’ve been living in a tiny plastic cup for a while and aren’t used to all that room and the light. I think your tank is beautiful and he will start exploring his new surroundings soon!
