Hey everyone, I’m new to fish keeping and wanted to share my tank, as I’m pretty proud of it! Most of the plants are real, but it’s expensive to start up a fully planted tank so there’s a few fake plants mixed in just for volume, but as I keep planting those will be removed. I’m working on getting some more tannins in the tank as well. Any feedback or advice? Tank was fully cycled before I added fish, it’s got some platies, a betta, and a clown pleco that I see maybe once a week 😭

Love set-up! It does become addicting.
Nice looking tank. Thank you for sharing it.
Nice setup!! It looks like a peaceful fish haven. The Pleco(you probably already know) is nocturnal so turning off the light early and leaving a little room light on you might see it more. Not seeing him is also a good sign though! he is happily hiding and has places to and that makes me think, maybe add some Corydoras!? Make sure you stay with the same kind and get several of them, they not only act better, but they’ll thrive in real plants and having tannins and driftwood and a group just like they are in the wild. Also maybe add some tetra? Like a school of cardinal tetra would look awesome. Thanks for sharing and good luck! Oh and watch the tannins being too much because it will lower your PH level and Platties like higher, but they are hardy and can adjust. Do you know your water hardness? It’s one of those little test that seem unimportant but knowing your local water supply type is important for what kind of fish would do best!
I’m obsessed with two front plants!!! Tank looks amazing!!!
what size is it? Im curious 😀
