I got a few basspro xps swim jigs. Curious if I should trim down the weed guard at all, it looks excessively long.

I trim mine a little past flush with the hook after pushing the guard to the point of the hook. Ive done it this way for years, no real proof that it makes them perform better or not just what i do đ¤ˇââď¸
