Hey all,

I am getting my gear all tuned for the upcoming snakehead season and I have a spare JDM Daiwa Zillion TW HD with the OEM magforce-Z spool. It's a great spool for 1/2 oz and larger frogs but I currently have a Daiwa Steez A100 and another Zillion TW HD fitting those needs.

I want to repurpose this reel to cast 1/4 oz to 3/8 oz frogs by swapping the spools. I currently have two options:

A.) Daiwa zillion g sv tw boost
B.) RCSB SV Boost 1000 G1 (JDM)

I will be spooling it with Daiwa 40lb Samurai Braid and want to maximize casting distance with the lighter lures. Both spools are coming close to the limit of braid capacity I'm comfortable with for heavy frogging but I usually have the drag tightened down.

Any recommendations for which spool to swap? The Magforce Z spool sucks for 1/2 oz and smaller because that's not what it was made for. There is also no single glossary or inventory online of all the Daiwa spools, lure capacity, braid capacity, etc so I'm reaching out for help. AI was also useless – thanks all!
