I haven’t had fish since my early teen years probably (almost 28 now) and doing my weekly grocery shopping, after getting more bird food, I decided to just look at the fish for fun. When I turned around to walk away, I saw for the first time that Meijer had betta fish. And I’ve always felt bad for them always being in little cups. But some of these lil guys looked really bad🥺 I wish that they were friendly enough to have multiple in a tank. It makes me want to get an aquarium again, but I don’t want to get just one or “support” the sale of fish this way

If the betta is really sick a lot of times u can get them for free
That black one seems to be a crowntail betta, their fins are supposed to look like that, not saying the cups ARENT bad but he doesn’t look the absolute worst, fear not for his fins. Ive always loved crowntails
I mean if you shoplifted it somehow… you could save the fish and stick it to the industry..
