This is to replace my 10yo Simms guiding boots. After reading a lot negative feedback with regards to the recent decline of Simms gear quality, I opted for this one. I have high hopes that this pair would last longer than the Simms. Can’t wait to try them on the next trip.

I really like mine. They’ve worked great for both wet wading and with waders!
Be very careful with the lace guides. My Patagonia waders metal clip on the end of the gaiters tore mine up. A real bummer, as I liked them otherwise, but they just didn’t work for me.
Enjoy! I am absolutely in love with mine
It’s unfortunate seeing the decline Simms is taking. I went with the Simms flyweight boots which come in at a pound lighter than these. Only time will tell if they hold up. If they don’t, I won’t be the first person to make the switch to Patagonia lol.
I love mine. Perfect for true to size wet wading with the neoprene socks. They do shrink a bit. I had to size up for the expedition waders.
Danner makes great boots. Have had several pair of pronghorns for hunting
My Simms boots are also showing their age and opted for the boots for the exact same reasons. Have you walked around with these yet? They feel different to me. Almost flat footed compared to the Simms.
Mine are falling apart after a year. Granted I fish a lot. Patagonia will take care of me though so I still support them
