Hello, this is my tank it’s a 6 gallon and I want to get a betta. There’s three cherry shrimp in there that are very happy so I was wondering if a Betta would also be happy in a tank set up like this.

Adding a betta would be cool, but males are territorial. (Both genders are territorial but females are less so.) A female would do wonders in your tank though. And be careful because each is their own, and some bettas are mean. Just naturally mean. But most females are good. 😭

I know folks say the 5 gallons is the suggested minimum regardless of gender, but I’d consider a male for this tank.
I have a female in a 20 gallon, and my daughter just got a re-homed female for her 10 gallon, and both gals are VERY active. They are significantly faster than the longer finned males, and I do truly believe they benefit from more swimming room 💕 Just my two cents!
