My betta always hovers around the front right corner (where I feed him). I thought maybe it was just bc I’m standing there. I walked away for 20 mins and this is the time lapse. Is it concerning how much he hangs out in that corner?

Omg the nerites 🥰 please do supplement them with food, 3 in a small tank is a lot.

The betta might benefit from more long leafed plants to give him places and things to explore and do, plus more testing places. That corner is probably where he feels safest and can balance to rest near the surface. More long leafed plants will give him more options.

Edit: I know there’s loads at the back, but at the front he’s quite exposed, that’s what I meant. I’m guessing the filter is at the back so he won’t really go there as will be more difficult to swim.

  2. When he went in the little cave for a minute 😭 what a cutie! This tank is gorgeous and he seems perfectly fine. Like the others said, maybe a leafy plant up near the front so he has the option to lay there if he chooses

These time lapse videos are great arguments for putting bettas in larger tanks. They clearly like to explore.

Check your tank parameters. Mine tends to surf the glass if something gets out of whack. But she also gets weird at egg laying time so its not always the cause. Sometimes they see a reflection or are just hoping for food.

Cute tank! Agree with everyone else here maybe some more exploration plants to zip through and hide under in the front more. Really love your setup!

Maybe he just likes that corner haha. He set up camp, its his idle spot to get air from and chill. Mine also prefers one side to relax in (the side away from the filter flow)
