Nice try, but horrific fish abuse won’t distract me from a rimless tank with all 4 corners hanging generously off the stand! Those fish about to be experiencing too much space to swim at any moment’s notice…

  2. Can someone who recognises the species shown confirm whether these fish look real? I was desperately looking for a clue that the video is AI as it just seems so … unreal and cruel.

This is cruel. This person should be locked up. AI should be locked up if this is AI.

  4. Hold a second: is this a permanent home or an emergency tank? For example, if I had big ole fish like this in, say, a 125g and the tank broke then I’d put those fish in whatever held water so I can deal with a long term solution. I don’t think that is inhumane so long as it is short term.

OTOH, if this is permanent then this person is someone who should never be allowed own fish again.

Could it be the former and not the latter?

  5. I could be wrong but I have seen people keep tanks like this specifically to bring fresh fish home to be cooked at a later time. It’s sort of like the fish tanks in some restaurants where you get to pick the fish you eat.

I’m gonna bet anything this is an emergency situation. None of these fish would have lived long enough to get this big if the owner was this shitty.

Not to mention it’s clean. This tank isn’t something that they regularly abuse animals in.

They’re also not petsmart style “don’t tell them how big they get” style fish. These are expensive (pretty sure. could be wrong. but the noodle is screaming money.)

The fact that it’s recorded is pretty telling as well. The owner thought to himself that this was a big enough weird situation to record.

Damn that is sad… bet I know exactly what type of family is keeping those fish.

  8. Is this a “we put you in this tank while we clean your real tank. You know, the lake. “ type situation? Seeing how it’s hanging off that stand, and the size of those guys, I can’t imagine this is permanent.
