I fish this pond a lot but I’m really bad at telling the difference between spots and largemouth. I forget to take pics with the mouth closed.

Why do people worry so much about the distinction? Catching bass is awesome. It’s probably a largemouth usually. You should be able to tell if it’s a smallmouth. Outside of that I don’t think twice about what I am catching.

If you cannot tell by the way it looks, when you hook and fight a spotted, youll know the difference. They’re vicious.
