Looking for a finesse bottom contact casting rod and was wondering if the JACKALL/SHIMANO POISON ULTIMA 1610L-BFS Baitcasting Rod is the best option?
I mostly fish for smallmouth with finesse techniques in the Great Lakes and was wondering how a Shimano rod like this compares to something like a g Loomis.

I bet this rod is pretty sweet but if I were in your position I’d get the P5 gravel code no doubt.

The zodias works great. Also a sleeper rod is the Lews tp1 black.
Specifically the black series as it has a VTR or vibrating tube ring in the handle that does a phenomenal job at sending the slightest ticks right up the rod back to your hands. I fish on the Detroit river and eerie all the time. These are my two dropshot rods
