Bait (natural and scented soft plastics) is banned in 99.9% of my local rivers, but I fish a ton of unscented steely worms with my centerpin to great success, they’re an absolutely deadly presentation. This is a small assortment of some of my go to colours and sizes.
It’s my go to and I have just about every color they have available.
I use them with a small jig head and when the fish stop bitting on one color I just switch to another.
One time fishing with my older brother he got pissed and wanted to go home because he refuses to use anything other than live bait and I was killing it using these.

I use a local maker’s version that is unscented so I can use it in special regulation waters. Trout do love a skinny pink worm!

My secret weapon for tiny bluegill/sunfish. I rip off a super small piece and can catch dozens of bluegill without it falling off.
Some kids at my local pond were amazed that I was getting them so easily while they kept losing their nightcrawlers which they paid $5 a box for. I gave them each a piece and they started pulling them out non stop.
