about a year ago i started a 10 gal tank w my partner and we got two brown kuhli loaches. we’ve since then have gotten a 40 gal and moved most of the fish from the 10 gal over and got more fish. we didn’t know at first that loaches were schooling fish so we got three striped loaches. i just heard the other day that they don’t school together since they’re different so i was wondering if i should get more of each kind. i do notice them coming out more often than they did in the 10 gal but i’m not 100% sure and i want everyone in the tank to be happy!

My normal brown and striped kuhli loaches all hang out together. I have about 5 of each i think? Might be more now since they keep breeding. They like to have a big group of them were they can all hang out together.
They put out almost no bio load so it doesn’t hurt to get a few more either way
