I have this yellow Trident 15, the first model. Would the Profish Reload be an upgrade compared to it?

Big water kayaker: Large bay, river inlets, and slowly progressing into open sea as I'm more capable. Not going through the surf but its in the future plans for more direct access to open sea.

Paddling only, I like sweating for fish. I weight 145kg at the moment (320lb), was 170kg (375lb) when I started kayaking last year, so yeah work in progress 🙂

I think both kayaks handle this kind of weight perfectly, so its rather a matter of what would I get vs what I have.

There is a used unit nearby for 500eur, it has the chill pod and the tackle/fishfinder pod, rudder, etc. And I could sell mine for 400 probably, so it'd be a rather inexpensive change. But, is it worth the hassle? Is it an improvement, or similar, just a bit different equipment?

Thanks!

Maybe? The trident is definitely an old school fishing Kayak compared to the Viking, but that said the Trident looks like a paddle first fish second type design, so it might paddle easier and be better for longer distances. I think it kind of depends on what you need. If you need a more stable boat then go with the Viking if you need to paddle longer distances stick with the Ocean. Those are my thoughts.
