Thinking about buying an NK300 to fit to my Perception showdown. Curious if anyone has replaced a rudder for a motor and still been able to steer using the motor. Of course the showdown is a pedal drive, but the rudder is mounted where I would ideally like to have the motor. I don’t want to totally lose my ability to use the pedals, and I’m worried that it won’t steer well with the motor in place of the rudder.

Tons of really cool motor installations on YouTube. Lots of DIY involving pvc pipe.
You’ll pretty easily be able to take the rudder off and hook up the steering cables to the NK300. With the price point of the NK300, spend the extra $180 and pair it with the wizard foot steering and you’ll be golden
