Had Apollo for a couple months now, and he has been doing great. He is very active and seems healthy, but around a week ago I noticed that one of his fins started to droop. Water permitters are normal, and I added an almond leaf because I read that it may be due to water hardness. Just looking for advice. Thanks!

I’ve had Betta’s, both male and female. Over the years…It doesn’t look like tail rot to me, but I am definitely NOT an expert. With all the wonderful decorative wood and other things you have in your marvellous aquarium, it possible that he’s just been “rubbing” and “flaring” his fins along this stuff. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, but I’d certainly keep an eye on him for continued “injuries” to see if he’s doing that or getting worse. Please keep us updated! Good luck!

Oh yes maybe rubbing on things. Must ensure things are delicate and smooth. Real plants. Smoothed wood. They love hiding and getting snuggly l. If fake get silk
