Hello. I saw these guys on Facebook. I was planning to set up a 4-gallon planted aquarium soon anyway. I think I'll buy one of these. To be honest, I don't really understand their specifications. Which one should I get?
Edit: Thanks for your help and advice, everyone. I guess to put everyone at ease, I should say that I'm not buying this fish from a pet shop or anything like that. It was an ad from someone who's given up on keeping aquariums, and if it weren't for fish that's been sitting in jars for a long time, I definitely would have waited a few more weeks and put them in a completed aquarium. Right now, putting it in an unfinished aquarium seems like a better option than keeping it in a jar.

That first one is gorgeous
So your tank is NOT currently setup? Or cycled? Please don’t buy a living creature just to subject it to discomfort for weeks on end while your tank cycles.
It may be a moot point, it takes like 4 weeks to do the nitrogen cycle on a tank. Def get a 5 if you are doing a small tank. I always wished I had just done a 10 when I was struggling with a 5 thoigh
you need to establish a home for a fish to live in way before you even think about buying the animal. look up the nitrogen cycle and why it’s important to understand.
at the end of the day, fish hobbiest keep water, not fish. you are essentially creating an ecosystem for this animal to live in!
The first one. More unique.
If you don’t know the specifications of betta fish care with no tank currently set up and cycling, then you should not be at the stage of deciding which betta you’re gonna buy right now.

A natural tank is best and 5 gallons is minimum. Heater filter, you need to cycle your tank. Cycling will happen a lot faster with plants and natural substrate
Based on my journey, I would get a wild type or short fin. He’ll thank me for this piece of advice later.
The first one is beautiful! But make sure you have the proper tank set up and have it cycled!
I would go for a 5 gallon, that’s the minimum. It shouldn’t cost you much more than a 4 gallon tank.
The first one is stunning.
none until you have a 5gal cycled tank

leave it to another person who will take care of it, one bad situation to another. 5 gallon is minimum btw but 10 gallon is recommended. don’t buy the fish
First one is sweet
Get a ten gallon it will be easier to keep the water stable, will allow more room for plants to grow, and you’ll have to do water changes less frequently
My solution was both.
The first one looks exactly like my blue boy did when I got him. The second one looks more like he needs help, drooping fins. But that’s a tough decision! Can you take both and get two aquariums?
