After much research, I saw the NRS Chinook was the most recommended vest I came across. When ordering I found the “off shore” model heavily discounted on their site so I figured why not. Does anyone have any experience or gripes with this particular model?

I own one, great vest. The lower right pocket is perfect for my cell phone. It’s comfortable and I hardly notice that I’m wearing it (which is a huge compliment to the vest).
Love the pockets, but seems huge compared to what I use. Well, I typically use a 4” PFD seat as my legal qualification, but on public waterways I have a super compact vest that I don’t even feel and it supports up to 300 lbs. And it was $50.
