My poor casting is causing the line to twist up at the reel as pictured. I’ve gone ”fishing” twice now for a cumulative of like 5 or 6 hours and I’m not sure you can even call what I’m doing practice because of how poor the casts I do make are. I don’t really have anyone to teach me, so I’ve been relying on YouTube videos and I just can’t replicate anything that is being taught. I don’t want to give up, but I’m not sure how to improve. Please help.

Do you have weight on your line? Are you throwing into the wind?? Did you spool the line yourself?
This is why i hate mono. To many things can go wrong. Id suggest getting braid and never looking back.
