no it is not. Minimum is five gallons. there are so many sources on the internet for how to take care of betta fish now, I recommend you use them

Hi OP, sadly this isn’t a suitable set up due primarily to size, but additionally it’s lacking crucial items such as a heater, filter, established nitrogen cycle, enrichment and so on.

Please review the info pages in the auto mod reply to your post for what a betta fish needs, plus I will post some basic guides.

This is absolutely too small for any fish to be out into.

IGNORE the section on sororities, it’s unethical.

let me make this clear, shrimp could be okay but uhm change subrate, and add planet. maybe not shrimp but snails could live in there if you can change everything

this is a good tank size for shrimp, snails, growing plants, or quarantine/ emergencies

  6. So… there’s a lot of people being very particular here. The tank is a bit small, I’d recommend going up to 5 gallons personally. Your hearts in the right place with getting something larger than a bowl and checking go see if it’s alright. I can tell you want to do good by your future fish.

A good betta setup can cost you somewhere around $100 not counting the fish. You need a filter, heater (they’re tropical fish), and hiding places. Try not to pick anything with sharp edges as they can damage the fins. You’ll want to read up on the nitrogen cycle as well, personally I find that the YouTube channel aquarium co op is a fantastic resource and even has a great video about this using candy as a visual. Helped me understand

As for decor, there are two ways you can go about it. You can get live plants, which means you’ll have to change the gravel and do more research, but I know that can be a little overwhelming for a first time fish keeper. If you get fake plants, try to look for silk plants instead of the hard plastic. These will keep the betta’s fragile fins safe.

If this is your first fish, enjoy it! They’re supposed to be fun. They’re so much fun to watch

Filter? Heater? Not even gonna talk about the colored decor. 3g isn’t enough minimum is 5g, Op, this isn’t okay, I hope you change your setup. You can aways use the 3g for a hospital tank.

Some could be okay but if you are new, Go bigger.
Small tank with no heater or filter will ne a recipe for disaster which will lead you to have bad experience.

Remember you may have a bad experience but fish will lose their lives.

The reason people are saying no to this because we all realized that it will take aome extreme fish keeping skills to make your image work

    Good luck
