Fish for your attention. Im considering an 8wt rod for steelhead and some ocean beach casting. Im thinking tfo nxt, tfo ntr3, cortland sl 444, two aventik 8wt sink lines and a cheap aventik reel for poverty level ocean beach casting.
I am spending more on steelhead, but would like the option of some beach casting if i end up over there. What are your thoughts on what ive picked? Should i size up the fly line to a 9wt?
