The 8 weight and 9 weight portions of their saltwater invitational is out, and I saw an 11 weight comes out soon — What does everyone think? Interesting results. Orvis is probably the happiest of the bunch, but Loomis, Hardy, and Scott also did really well. The new Asquith squeaked the top rod in the 8-weights, but by only .1… so virtually a tie with the Helios 4. Some of the results surprised me. The casters are Brian O'Keefe, Nathaniel Linville, and Ian Slater. FWIW, Linville and Slater just won another March merkin last week, so hard to argue with their experience… and O'Keefe is O'Keefe. The videos are on their youtube channel (about 50 minutes each) and worth a watch, but the write up is more in depth. I particularly enjoyed the interviews at the bottom.
