I stumbled on a pretty cool find. Here are some pictures of my Orvis Battenkill Impregnated Bamboo rod. I shared the serial number with Orvis and they told me it was manufactured in June of 1961. It’s in great condition. I have to catch at least one fish with it before I decide what to do with it permanently. Best I can tell it’s in the original sock but I’m not sure about the tube. It’s a metal tube with no markings. Any thoughts?

Might want to try and get it appraised before you use it. Current Orvis bamboo rods retail for $3500-4500. This might be worth a lot of money to a collector.
Awesome rod! Ebay has sold listing between $400 and $1350 for similiar rods without the tube.
