So i bought a pair of 10 foot minnkota raptors, secondhand but unused. Boat had 30 hours on it exclusively on lake erie. I mean mint condish. I got them all hooked up, working great in the driveway. Took the boat out Sunday to work everything over and port side raptor has some air in the lines and trips the in line circuit breaker. No big deal, reset it and it's working. We use the outboard to move across the lake, but when we get there both raptors are completely dead. Flipped switch on and off several times, doornail. Lady at humminbird says today that they have to be disconnected when charging the battery, which I always have my switches off when I charge. Now, my outboard and the raptors are connected to the same 12v cranking battery. My question is, could the alternator on the outboard have put charge back into the battery and somehow bypassed the 30v circuit breaker fuses in line to the raptor pumps and fried the boards? I pulled one apart today and I could see no signs of damage or anything on the board in the raptor, although it is sealed. I checked all my terminal connections and even continuity with the in line fuse holder and saw no issues. Also, outboard turns right over no problem and battery monitor reads 100% charge. Anyone have any ideas?

Has nothing to do with the Alternator. Pretty odd that both don’t work something must be wrong with the install.
You have breaker and a fuse for each?
