I got my betta around 2-3 months ago, I rescued him from the pet store where all the other bettas around him were dying. I cycled the tank, fish in, because I am new to fish keeping.

I’ve seen other bettas online with big full round fins and his are kind of jagged now. I’m posting on here to see if this is normal or if not what I need to do to get him to be his healthiest self. He seems happy, he eats, swims around, makes bubbles, tank parameters are good, etc.

The first photo is today and the second photo was about two months ago.

They look slightly ragged, but some of perfect ones you see online are actually cut and trimmed to look that way for shows.
