  1. Might seem a bit funky, but I like to tear the skirts off chatterbaits and run them like that. Some people like to Texas rig them weightless but it’s really slow since they are small. On a drop shot through the eye is another common way.

  2. Yeah can’t do it vertically, I’ll be honest I’m super careful with the chatterbaits, the micro ones seem to have thinner hooks that go a lil easier but it’s definitely a bitch

  3. Texas rigged sideways with a weighted 1/0 EWG hook – Makes it fall in a spiral.

Bigger size seems to be more effect and versatile. Overall kinda gimmicky for me.

  4. Kinda surprised at the replies here. There’s tons of videos showing how to use these. Most common is on a drop shot, hooked flat thru the nose. Can also run it on a free rig, Carolina rig, or Texas rig with an EWG hook (again also hooked horizontally). It’s too thin to use as a trailer. It’s meant to mimic an injured or dying baitfish on its side.

I bought the prerigged version of those, and just tie them on to mono. Decent action, sometimes i’ll jig them off the bottom

  6. Neko rig. Killer sight fishing with the panorama. The movement makes it look like the bait is pecking on their bed.

I run the as a chatter bait trailer. The chattering will give the bait more movement in the water.

  8. Bought the 6.5” and impressed with the limpness of that tail. Going to try with weighted and unweighted owner beast hook on the side so it lays flat and see which works. Reminds me that of the banjo minnow

  9. Banjo minnow style.

    You take something like this

Screw it into the nose. Put a wacky hook through the loop in the spring screw. Then get those tiny rubber bands for braces. Hook one side of the band to the eye of the hook. Then the other end of the rubber band to the barb. And bam it’s weedless and swims really well.

Also you’ll need very small orings that you can just push onto the hook to keep the hook from falling off the loop in the spring.

I’m sure there’s a banjo minnow rigging tutorial on YouTube that explains it better than me.
