I most likely have cyanobacteria in my freshwater tank (smells like swamp, sticks to the sand and stained my rock, and definitely spread a lot over the past month). I will try to address the macronutrients imbalance by dosing KNO3. It really isn't as bad as I have seen it look online, but it can't be anything else really…

However, i want to try this as I have seen it being highly recommended on here. I am afraid of it harming my fish in some way or me not knowing how to use it efficiently and safely (airstone, water changes etc.) I have neon tetras which I know can be sensitive to changes and Ultralife can alter ph and oxygen so that keeps me quite hesitant.

Any advice is welcome, pleasee!!
