Hello all, I just recently bought this shimano Calcutta 400b and I’m looking to build a nice setup to go charter fishing off the Southern California coast. I’m looking for a versatile set up that will allow me to catch a variety of species. Obviously this reel won’t allow me to catch bigger species however I’m just looking for the most versatile setup possible for this reel. Any advice would be much appreciated. Also I’d like to go fish near Catalina island on a charter, any other spot recommendations would also be much appreciated, thank you.
