A little over spooled, I’d pull off 10-20 yards and see how it looks.

tad over, i’d run it just for the fact i’m definitely breaking off 2-3 times first trip and it’ll correct itself

It’s definitely over spooled, but you could try it out and if you’re not getting tangles and wind knots there’s really no issue. I’d probably go ahead and remove some though. The line shouldn’t be bulging out past the purple ring at the top.

If it’s your first time spooling up braid, you should definitely check that you cannot compress the line on that spool with your fingers.
It should be solid as a rock. If it’s soft or spongy even a little, the line will dig into the lower layers.
You’ll have many problems. I can post back if you need instructions for getting the line wound tight so it’s firm on the spool.

Why are you using such dark braid ? I would imagine this would show up most in any waters

Casting light lures = it’s over spooled , casting weight and bait = you’ll be ok .

Just a touch over. But depending on how much tension you spooled under, it just might settle down a bit lower, just be careful with the first few casts, make sure to wind it on correctly.
