He’s been living happily in this 30 litre (8 gallon) melted glass bowl for just over a year now. I set it up after reading Diana Walstad’s book ‘Ecology of the planted aquarium’ and feeling inspired to try the Walstad method. There’s a heater but no pump or mechanical filter.
The only thing I hate about this bowl is that there’s tiny air bubbles trapped in the glass which make it look like it always needs a clean. I guess it wasn’t made to be an aquarium but it holds water fine and it’s big enough for Michelangelo.
