I have these fishing poles laying around my house. I haven’t used them yet, but I wanna see what they’re used for specifically. I’m thinking of getting into fishing so I wanna make sure I’m using the right gear for certain situations.

Definitely catching fish.
Seriously though, they all look like medium-heavy salt or lake rods, except the tiny zebco…thats a kids starter rod.
I don’t mean to sound shitty but, they’re used for catching fish. More or less any rod can be used to catch more or less any fish. Reels are a bit more “specialized”, but rods not so much. Just use the one that is most comfortable for you, and the one that has an appropriate length, a 8.5 foot rod on an 8 foot raft for instance is too much rod.
omg those look like ultralight rods! perfect for catching smaller fish like trout or panfish. super fun to use bc even tiny fish feel huge when you catch them.
