back in August of 2021 when I was 16 went out on a rural trip in northern Saskatchewan with a few guys and caught monster northern pikes!
I was even surprised that my cheap walleye light rod caught one of them!
Truly beautiful country out there!
location: macfarlane river near lake athabasca sand dunes.
(ps no fish Was wasted, all of it were fixed and given to family and friends!)

Beautiful scenery, reminds me of pike fishing in Northern Europe
damn! what lure/bait?
Nice, Op! So fun to catch.
I used to catch them in Deep Creek, Maryland, about 35 years ago as a teenager using chartreuse twister tails. Those lures caught everything.
