We lost our favorite pet bass, Cody, on Saturday. He fought hard, but by the time he was stuffed with parsley and lemon there wasn’t much we could do. As he was laid to rest over medium high heat on a Webber Kettle, we knew he was in a better place.

I’ve been meaning to try this. Growing up, the only way any wild fish was cooked in my family was breaded and fried. We only had fish if my dad and uncles spent a weekend catching their limit. My wife and I are empty nesters and we rarely deep fry anything because of the mess. I figured if I could catch just two decent sized bass, that’s dinner if I didn’t have to fillet it, but I had never seen it done.
