I’ve got a weird dilemma in which there is a small lake im fishing at, where the bass are jumping out of the water constantly but will not hit senkos, top water frogs, ned rigs, spinners, or anything. I haven’t got any fly fishing equipment but the bass that are jumping are huge. How do I get these fish? Are they just stubborn? Am I unlucky? I cannot figure it out. It’s a private lake with little access and I don’t know anyone else who fishes it to ask.

Use a zoom trick worm on a light rod and a wacky worm hook. Fish it wherever you see them jumping at insects and wiggle the worm just at the surface

    I’ve caught 5lbers doing this

Are you sure its bass? If its a private lake and no one fishes it often, bass will hit on most lures in a scenario like that

They are feeding on something very specific and your lure doesn’t match the profile of what they are feeding on, I had this problem when I first started I would always see bass blowing up like crazy and could never catch one no matter what I threw, I then found a KVD video where he explains if the bite is tough when they are feeding on one specific prey to throw something like a spybait or jerkbait or fluke or something that mimicks the tiny Shad or minnows they are feeding on

  4. Buy some flys and an “adjust a bubble” bobber. The bobber acts as weight for casting allows you to use any bass rod to cast flys. Been doing this for 30 years. I recommend Betts popper flys with the rubber legs. Cast out key ripples go out then micro twitch every five seconds.

Edit you can use any bobber as a weight with flys but adjust a bubbles is the best.
