Took my modest ‘yak out on her maiden voyage. She may not be the most desirable model, but she was 50% off @ Richard’s Sporting Goods. I typically use an inflatable boat kitted out with a trolling motor and fish finder, but I wanted something I could get into the water quickly and aimlessly cast for the sake of being on the water. Being vertically challenged I didn’t want a larger kayak that would require a trailer, nor struggle getting one onto my truck’s roof.

Today was a test to see how she handled and to get an idea if I could fish how I normally would on my inflatable.

Her tracking is terrible, like every review I’ve seen has pointed out. But, in about 10 minutes I was able to get her off-loaded and ready to hit the water, unlike my inflatable, so a huge win.

Living in NE Ohio I’m just happy the weather finally appears to be warming up cause I can’t wait to fish out of this boat till winter comes back around.

Cheers and happy Sunday!
