It doesn’t have an expiration date on it, I’d hope they’d honor it.
I kind of have a similar situation, I have a fisher space pen, it’s from the 60s and the pressurized cartridge inside says “mail old cartridge to this address with $5 to receive a new one” I’m waiting until it goes bad before I try it

I did this any 20 years ago. I still have the tacke box and it still has the gold engraved plate on it.
