Hi! I got this sweet boy on Thursday, and this picture was taken moments ago. He’s a bit skinny and I think he’s still trying to settle in, but does he look healthy? Any glaring issues? Thanks!!
Tank info:
-16 gallons
-heated, ~80.5°F
-filtered + air stone
-planted, natural decor (wood, rocks, plants)
-weekly water changes, ~25% via siphon
-Ammonia 0, nitrates and nitrites 0, tested this morning
-Lights on from 10AM to 8PM daily
-he has been getting fluval bug bites (betta formula) but I have frozen mysis, brine, and bloodworms for him to try too
He looks much more vibrant in person and is incredibly active, and he made a bubble nest on Saturday

His fins look a little thin but I haven’t kept that type of betta so I don’t know
I would be careful with water being that warm, it can be a breeding ground for infections and such. I’d stick around 76-78
He looks like he was prob stressed, given the faded coloring— but I think he’ll liven up after a few weeks :>
