Hello all
Looking into getting into kayak fishing.
Will be mostly on Midwest lakes with an occasional trip to the gulf/ICW of FL
I have been looking around at some used ones on marketplace and found one I think would be a good entry/starter with a lot of the add ons one would like to have
Here is the description
2021 Bonafide RS 117 fishing kayak. Includes kayak cart, paddle, anchor, life vest, wall hangars and trailer hitch extension. Kayak is 11ft. 7in. long, 34in. wide, and weighs 77lbs. Only used 6 times. Very good condition. $1200.00.
I did see that this yak new was 999.99
So I offered to negotiate down a bit to the 750-800 range with the extras
A few other notes. I am a bigger dude 6’1 240 ish
Not a ton of boat exp. But plenty of calm water to learn on nearby
Other than a little slide scratching on the bottom. Seems to be in good condition
Here are a few pictures
Please let me know what you think
Is this a good starter yak for a bigger guy? Max weight is 400+ I believe
Thanks all and tight lines

I’m actually looking into Bonafide ss107-127. It was recommended to me when I asked about Nucanoe kayaks. The first review I watched on YouTube was pretty much two thumbs up.
I’m in the Midwest…. Where is this being sold? 😉
