Looking to buy my first kayak and wondering if this is a good deal? Overwhelmed with all the different options but I’m looking to do mostly harbor fishing and this seems like a good starting point

Just keep in mind that the Old Town warranty is non-transferable. If it ever develops a crack in the hull, they won’t replace it for you.

It’s a good last kayak. Do have a trailer or other way to haul that beast? This a lot of money, and I don’t usually think it’s worth getting all their extras and so I would not really pay much for that stuff. Is that a good price for the PDL or could you get a new boat without all the fixings for something similar?

Brand new one is $3000, the extras are nice but they are also used, without warranty, same as the kayak. You can find a used 120PDL for half the price of a used one… otherwise, just buy new.

The boat retails for $2900 and you get a warranty with it. The add-ins mean nothing because you may never use them. The Humminbird is out dated and is no longer being supported (they were discontinued last year). The YakAttack battery system they have holds smaller batteries and if you went with a larger sonar unit over 6inches it’s useless because they draw more power. The PFD may not fit or you might find it uncomfortable.
It sure as hell isn’t worth the original $3500 asking price. I would offer them $2300, unless those items are reasonable to pay for but spending 300 more and getting a warranty supersedes the outdated add-ins for $2700.

I’d ask what he means by yak attack battery system. They sell the Nocqua 10ah as well as a larger 20ah on yak attack. Or is it just the mount/ box?
Either or, decent deal for $2,500. Brand new they can be had for $3,000 with the warranty. All the included stuff is an extra $600-$800 new.

4 rod capacity set is kind of a dud feature since it holds 3 by default. Also, those attachments are not worth the extra. I also don’t see any rod holder arms. You are just getting charged mainly for the custom install and helix5. Maybe not worth it without the warranty on top of it
