i’m wondering if my boy scoby is suffering fr fin rot? the ends of his fins are looking a bit translucent and i’m wondering if that’s cause for concern?

please let me know what you think, and best options for healing. i should mention i just tested the water with the API liquid test kit and the levels are normal, not sure what would have prompted this.

  1. for more info tank size is 20 gallons, yes there’s a heater and temperature is 78 ammonia 0ppm, nitrites 0, only tankmates are shrimp and snails, i feed him fly cal bug bites daily and frozen brine shrimp every couples days as a treat. he’s been in my tank for a about 3 months

Actually translucent tissue is a sign of healthy new growth. He may be recovering from prior fin rot or if you got him young he could just be growing. I’m not an expert by any means but I at least know that! The ends of his fins aren’t jagged, there’s no necrotic tissue, I think you’re good

I have the exact same type of Betta, he had some pretty bad finrot, it didn’t look like this but the new growth fins did
