Hey yall, I bought this Lifterime Angler from Walmart a while back and it finally came in. Loaded it up to take it out for the first time and I noticed this. Am I done before I even start?

If there is a hatch on that end, you may be able to push it back out.

Looks like a thermomolded kayak, and the seam is split open.

Yep

Return it

Was that how it arrived? I’d take it back. If they won’t exchange it, I think there are some options to pull it out. Heat and small holes could work.

If you can return it do so, but that’s fixable. A heat gun or dumping boiling water over the dent usually pops it back into shape. If your seam is split you can plastic weld it easily. Smaller stuff jb weld works well, big holes I try to find a bucket that’s the same color and just drip weld it then sand for a permanent bond.

Definitley return it. Will it float? Probably. Should walmart get away with damaging your item? Hell nah

You definitely should start with contacting customer service. If that fails you likely can unfold it the same they do with bumpers, provided you can get some sort of pushing tool inside the hull.

Done? No. It’s fixable. That said, if a brand new kayak was delivered like this, you should return it for one that does not have a humongous dent like that.
