Budget 8wt reel for big freshwater and light saltwater
Made a dumb mistake replacing a 5wt trout setup with an 8wt and didn’t switch the reel out. Bought it cause I liked the but had the cork on it. Have a new 5wt coming so what reel should I buy

Maxcatch is aight, their “fast” action seem more like a very fast so its reasonably tiring to cast cause it likes abit more loading.

I just got a Lamson Liquid Max for my 8wt saltwater set up. I’ve almost exclusively used that real and it’s been great on everything from my 3wt to my 5wt
