I usually thin my tank right around this point. For me I find it helps keep my plants healthier and more room for my fish to swim around. I have java moss that likes to just keep growing and a dwarf lilly that turned into three and just keeps putting out more leaves.
I might also suggest scraping the green algae off your glass…
